Bianca Fehn
"I had a rough start finding a baby carrier that would work for me after my son was born in 2003. Finally successful, I dived into the wonderful world of "slinging" and founded the Slings in the City group. The goal was to help and find other parents that had the same passion like me: "babywearing". The group took off and the natural progression was to start selling baby carriers: First from my home, then on the web and finally Metro Minis was born in 2007. Voila!
When not spreading the babywearing love, you can find me at Hot Yoga class or obsessing about the newest Apple products. In spring 2011 I graduated from Pure Yoga Teacher Training and I am currently enrolled in Leslie Kaminoff's Yoga Anatomy Certification Course.
Joanna McNeilly
"I came to babywearing out of necessity! I had a baby that needed to be held and I wanted out of the house, so the hunt for a comfortable carrier began. It turned out to be an overwhelming hunt and luckily I found the Slings in the CIty group in 2004 which helped me tremendously. Fast forward to late 2007 and you find me at Metro Minis happily sharing what I learned from wearing two kids to other new moms. I have continued to educate myself about babies and babywearing and attended Die Trageschule, Dresden to get formal training. I founded the Center for Babywearing Studies in 2011 and am a board member of the Baby Carrier Industry Alliance. As a Licensed Babywearing Educator (LBE) I teach and share on a daily basis and it brings me great joy to see new parents find the love of babywearing that I found as well.
In my spare time I spend leisurely evenings with my amazing husband, and friend, of 15+ years and we expound on the politics and policies of our time."

"I feel as though I fell into this particular rabbit hole backwards! Before I got pregnant in 2007, and even through my early pregnancy, I wasn't particularly interested in alternative approaches to the birth and parenting process. For the birth, I just picked a doc at random from my insurance provider's website. As for transporting the baby, I bought that same carrier that everyone else buys from the big-box baby store, as well as a big, unwieldy stroller. Cloth diapering seemed gross - and the idea of a diaper-free baby? Not even a speck in my mind.
Slowly, though, I began to do more and more reading, and my mind began to soften. I changed care to a midwife, replaced that big-box-store carrier with a ringsling, and ordered a small number of cotton diapers. By the time my son was 9 months old, I was a changed woman: I owned 5 baby carriers, I never used the stroller, I used cloth diapers and practiced elimination communication, and had already attended my first birth as a birth doula! I am now a certified birth doula, lactation counselor, childbirth educator, and babywearing consultant."
Tiffany Kapri Johnson
Tiffany is our store manager and joined us in 2010, but she's no novice to babywearing. A mother of two, Tiffany has been babywearing for over six years. Her favorite styles for carrying her children Xavier and Sahara include ring slings and woven wraps. Tiffany's hobbies include knitting, reading and going to concerts. She also loves to picnic in Central Park.

Eric Peterson
Eric Peterson comes to the BabySling.com from the corporate world of Conde Nast. After working in the Consumer Magazine Industry for 14 years, he is happy to bring his expertise to the niche market of babywearing. Eric wore both his children throughout their early childhood. Even today, when they ask, he is willing to sling ‘em up on his back!!! The importance of wearing is still very important to Eric, as he feels it offers a bond with his children, that strollers do not provide. He has been married to Joanna McNeilly for 14 years and has two beautiful children, Keller, a seven year old boy and Fionna, his 5 year old girl.
